I know, I've been remiss. I went on holiday out east to a friend's daughter's wedding (had a lovely time!) and just have not been able to get back into the swing of things. I will endeavor to do better.
ANYWAY! I just wanted to give a quick note about a book I read last night called "Plight" by K.M. Golland. I have to say I am so glad I one clicked the heck out of this baby. It's fun, lighthearted and so good! I started it last night at bedtime and... well... let's just say that the birds had already started to chirp by the time I got to actually turning out my light and going to sleep. (Woopsies!)
I found myself laughing out loud more than once reading this one! It follows the longtime friendship of Elliot and Danielle and how sometimes what you've been looking for all along is right there in your best friend. (OH and how a Cheezel proposal is a legal and binding thing -- mostly).
I LOVED both of these characters. Elliot (Lots as Danielle affectionately calls him) is quick witted and charming. Danielle is funny and charming and puts up with none of Elliot's shenanigans. (Okay, maybe SOME of his shenanigans -- read all... and loves him all the more for it).

Seriously, Elliot Parker is insane if he thinks that an out of the blue private Facebook message stipulating the binding law of an oral contractual agreement is going to seal our twenty-two-year bullshit engagement.
Insane.
I wonder if he really does look like his profile picture, though.
