My name is Kendra Campbell, happily married, mother of 3 grown kids. Late to the party avid reader and hopefully eventual novelist (romance genre). I'm currently in the throws of writing my first book and am probably about half way finished. Some days the flow and writing comes easier than others, so I don't have a release date goal yet -- but I'm hoping by late this year I'll be finished. So maybe next year it will be released. We'll see.
I've had other blogs: One Last Glimpse my personal blog and Gallimere in which I posted some of my writings from a few years ago. Then the blogging got away from me when real life reared it's ugly head and now that I'm back to reading and writing with some regularity I thought I'd get back into this. That's not to say that I won't still post on those blogs, because I'm going to try to, but this one here is going to be specifically for books that I've read.
Like I said, MOST of the books I've read are within the romance genre and I've read many from different genres within the umbrella of "romance". Some I've really enjoyed -- others not so much. Not that they were bad, they just were not my flavour, speed or thang. I love romance novels, but I'm also down for a good bio (especially the trashy rock star ones, which will from time to time end up on here too I'm sure! Hey, at last I'm honest!).
Okay so, let me answer some questions you may have: My formative teen years were in the 80s which makes me 46 in June. I'm a die hard Duran Duran fan. I'm married to the love of my life, who is two years older than I am to the day. Nope. No shit. I kid you not. We are coming up on 28 years married in August and he is also my high school sweetheart. I prefer cats over dogs, but I love dogs too. My favourite food(s) are: rack of lamb, sushi, prime rib, and lasagna. My favourite movies are: Labyrinth, Somewhere in Time, West Side Story, and Love, Actually. I love musicals. I love music of many genres and types. I am musically inclined. I'm pro-Fifty Shades (both book and movie), avid meme and emjoi user and enjoyer, pro-LGTBQ+, and am not in any way affiliated with any sort of religious beliefs, nor do I want to be. I have my own way of thinking and ideology behind it all and I'm comfortable with that. I believe in past lives, and reincarnation. I have no political party to back, only a belief in what I think is right and what I think is wrong. I believe I have a strong moral compass. I am good to my family and friends. I love fiercely and defend ferociously. I don't drink very often for personal reasons. I don't smoke (anymore) or do drugs (although I have in my past, although nothing over the top crazy harsh). I'm proud of my husband's past service to our country and support our military both past and present with pride and diligence. PTSD IS a thing that I've witnessed close up, first hand and personal like. I'm a proud mother of an autistic son who is a fantastic soul. I support vaccinating my children. I'm a proud Mom of an ACE Furry who is funny and talented. I'm a proud Mom of a lesbian Potterhead who has changed and become an amazing woman against all odds. I'm a nerd. I swear. Often. I like to play World of Warcraft as well as other games (both console and computer) and I'm okay with who I am.
